Pyromation Launches New Branding

(Fort Wayne, IN) Many people don’t know that Pyromation started out as a field service/sales business for industrial control instruments. That business helped shape the company name and logo in the 1960’s.
Pyromation has come a long way in the nearly 50 years since it started operations. By the 1970’s the company was reducing its service operations and began evolving into a temperature instrumentation manufacturer, making thermocouples for process applications. RTD production began the product line explosion of the 1980’s that included the addition of connection heads and transmitters. The company received ISO certification in 2000, signifying its international business stature, and in 2002, Pyromation began the process of becoming a Lean Enterprise. Thermowells were added in 2006 and the company realized a record year in sales in 2008.
Pyromation’s identity has changed from the small company that started in 1962, and it was made a priority to look into a new branding image that would reflect our evolution. New brand identity development was made a goal for the first half of 2009. The process was completed in June 2009.
In essence, the new brand represents not only the evolution of Pyromation over the past 50 years, but the core attributes of the company:
- Customer-focused
- Responsive
- Reliable
The new brand identity was used in the development of the new Pyromation Web site. The launch of the new Web site represents the first exposure of the new brand to the general public. In the coming months business correspondence, marketing literature, ads and other forms of communication will reflect the new look.
Pyromation has not changed the way it does business, but it has evolved and will continue to grow in ways that enhance product and service values for the customer. Although only a symbol, this new brand identity signifies the beginning of a new era of success for Pyromation and it's business partners.
