Value Stream Operator - Light Assembly
Pyromation, Inc. is an innovative temperature sensor manufacturer that is utilizing Lean Manufacturing initiatives and we are growing. Currently we are seeking Value Stream Operators. The Value Stream Operator assembles parts and raw materials to form complete units or sub assemblies at their assigned workstation(s), while following standard work and supporting lean initiatives.

The Value Stream Operator will perform the following functions and have the following responsibilities:

  • Utilize hand tools, light power tools and other special equipment to perform assigned assembly operations.
  • Monitors the quality of all items produced in the area.
  • Performs basic cleaning and preventive maintenance checks of equipment as required or assigned.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Skill Requirements:

  • High School education or the equivalence of a G.E.D.
  • Manufacturing assembly experience desired. Lean manufacturing experience a plus.

The successful new team member is to have the skills and ability to be action oriented with effective problem solving skills, possess good communication/interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a team environment. The Value Stream Operator will participate in Lean continuous improvement activities; and possess the willingness to continually learn and develop job related skills, while assisting others to do the same. The pay range for this position is $10.00 to $15.00 per hour, with a .50 cent shift differential.


2nd Shift CNC Operator
Pyromation, Inc. is an innovative temperature sensor manufacturer that is utilizing Lean Manufacturing initiatives and we are growing. Currently we are seeking experienced CNC Operator. The CNC Operator processes parts and raw materials on assigned machines to form complete parts or subassemblies for use in-house or for external customers by setting up, programming and operating assigned machines.

Production Support

  • Program, set up and operate assigned machines, hand tools, light power tools and other special equipment to perform assigned machining operations; may receive direction in the form of verbal or written instructions and may refer to technical drawings, catalog information or work instructions to complete assigned work.
  • Make minor adjustments to machine setups and tooling.
  • Monitor the quality of all items produced in their area by accurately using simple measurement instruments to meet product requirements.
  • Monitor the status of tooling, machinery, benches and hardware used in the area and notify the Shop Management of any problems.
  • Maintain condition of work area and keep it free of potential hazards.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance checks of equipment as required or assigned.
  • Perform any necessary documentation as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Possess the ability to operate the CNC equipment after it was programmed.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand written instructions, including drawings, catalog information, work instructions, tags, etc.
  • Be able to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to effectively read and interpret written instructions including drawings, catalog information and work instructions relating to their assigned area.
  • Possess good hand to eye coordination and dexterity.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and be proficient with inspection and measuring devices used in machining operations.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to give constructive feedback and coaching to peers and be open to receiving feedback from others.
  • Action oriented with effective problem solving skills.
  • Possess the willingness to continually learn and develop job related skills.

CNC Operators - Minimum one year experience performing offsets and minor adjustments and operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment. High school graduate or equivalent G.E.D. required. Certificate in CNC Machining or degree a plus.
Compensation commensurate with experience. CNC Operator pay range is $12.00 to $16.00 per hour.
